Monte Carlo Classic

A French pal is lucky enough to be watching it. Anyone else out there ?
Some very cool cars on this event, in @ least 2 Stratos, this RS ? Capri, lots of the usual 911s, a Healey, Citroen SM, Fulvia, 2002 Turbo etc etc

Couple of our motor club members out competing and another couple servicing.
914 and 911 Porsche’s.
One started from Glasgow, the other from Milan. I dread to think of the costs! But it sounds like a great event to be involved in.

We are members of a French Motor Club so a lot of members will be there and there will be proper rally cars and not like the ones that rally today..

I had hoped to do the Monte Carlo Classique this year in my Riley, it's a less strenuous event alongside the MC Historique which is the competitive regularity rally, but it was cancelled.

I then thought I'd do one of the Monte Carlo Heritage Runs but they were also cancelled due to 'limited space at the start' - six cars started the Historique from Glasgow...

I’d heard about this, they are having a certain amount of PR issues, so decided to limit the number of cars, hence concentrating on the main event.

To be fair to the organisers, they announced the 'Anniversary Monte 100 Touristique' but I didn't find out about it early enough (the MSC website was light on information) and I read somewhere the UK leg was largely motorway so it lost its appeal.
