I was going though some old photos that have been passed through the family and came across this one with an interesting looking car in it. Can anyone identify the model?

God above , the long ago days when it was presumably thought a bit below decks , a bit unseemly for a police car to be easily visible, and funeral black was the preferred livery . I can dimly recall the first police pandas (lower case P ) in light blue - soon to be followed by the 'look at us ' jam sandwich livery of motorway patrol cars.

Note for younger readers - once upon a time the police didn't spend all their time wazzing on about county lines and rarely being seen outside the few police stations which survive .

Obviously a cash strapped county force that had to make do with mere Austin's as they couldn't stretch to having Wolseley 6/110's laugh

A sensible County force not wasting money on luxuries for bobbies when it was mechanically the same!
