Fair play to the lad....daring to be different at his age.
But his clothes are not from the 1940's though, especially the trousers he's wearing in those photos.
He's still learning though at his age, and genuine 1940's era men's clothes that are wearable are VERY hard to find, especially in a size that he needs.

True, gen 1940s trousers practically had enough spare cloth to make a 2nd pair and needed caution when worn outside in strong winds. But his clothes are not from the 1940's though, especially the trousers he's wearing in those photos.

That's all fair enough, but going out of your way not to have a smartphone is going to be a bit limiting/frustrating at times!
Sadly, it will.A mate of mine manages it though, he still has an old style non-smart mobile, but his missus has a smart phone, and he admits that she has to use it to do stuff he can't.
On your own, and it will be limiting soon enough. My smart phone is 7 years old, and that's limiting enough, as many newer apps and functions meets with the 'not compatible' warnings for my phone, and I only use it for very limited 'smartphone' functions as I don't want to carry a bloody great house brick around with me, so why I've never upgraded it.
It is getting an issue though.
Good on him, and I'm jealous of the Austin Cambridge.
Nice to see someone a bit eccentric ,doing his own thing and enjoying it.
Not sure if the pipe smoking bit is genuine or just for the pics. I honestly can't recall the last time I saw someone smoking a pipe, apart from my Grandad who enjoyed a rough shag most evenings.

I imagine you are right. But I know a couple of people who buy up the stock from closing men's outfitters and tailors and it is is amazing what they come across. There is a chap locally who owns a traditional Gent's outfitters and when I last saw him he was wearing a 1940s double-breasted suit that was found brand new in a cupboard.

Great if it makes him happy.
At his age i'd be swiping away on tinder
Tinder wasn’t around in the 40’s, & he shuns the modern equipment... So, even Pistonheads is out of the question too.At his age i'd be swiping away on tinder
Popping down to the local hall... it’s dance night.
