Sold for £6240, so quite a bit below the reserve.

I read the article which states it was once owned by Evel Knievel, but I also read the Bonhams listing and unless I missed it there is no mention of his ownership?

Maybe the provenance wasn’t sound enough for Bonhams to confirm that this was his actual car.
I would have thought that EK’s would be America, if not in a museum.
