W108 shell new bits underneath???
Discussion
Excuse me if this happens all of the time, maybe I'm a bit slow.
eBay and I'd like a w108one day, in the past I've nearly bought one e times, probably a good job I didn't.
Anyway browsing evilbay and the advert linked shows a w108 slotted onto a different Merc.
It also mentions putting what sounds like a complete BMW E39 engine etc instead of the original kit
It looks like it could be a awesome daily
Sooooo many questions
How much? I can't afford it but you never know
Is it done often?

So it's a bare shell with rusty panels and chrome, with little in the way of interior trim.
The real value in these is in the hard-to-find trim and bits like bumpers and radiator grilles, which appear present, but it sounds like a lot of work to get it anywhere near nice, and that's assuming you don't care for originality.
