1967 Ferguson SuperSport
Discussion
I never heard of this one-off but it seems to have been a much more finished personal project than many I have seen and the builder clearly knew what he was doing. Looks quite good to me- article below.

Absolutely gorgeous, and what a story! While there are many obvious (and not so obvious) design cues, it still stands as an individual design - and a beautifully elegant one at that. It deserves to be seen, and the new owner appears to be the right fellow for the job.

Yeah, that looks amazing.
However, something is puzzling me. For something that was apparently built between 1959 and 1967 and painted (the same?) metallic green, why are there no photos of the car back then, or even in the 70s when it was said it was continued to be driven widely.
I quote:
“You know, this car is becoming a curse to us.”
Blanche Ferguson says, as she recalls the Super Sport turned the heads of everyone they passed, the first few years her husband Ross drove it around southern Ontario, and she quickly got fed up.
“We couldn’t take it out anywhere — I mean, literally, we had no peace with the car,” she says.
“Everybody was following us, wanting us to pull over so they could talk about it.”
I ask again, yet nobody ever took photos, or just a single snap of it back then, not even the family?
Odd.
Still, perhaps it's just me.

Well,in those days there was no internet, no digital photography and no iiPhone to grab a shot. I have no pics of our family cars when I was a kid. I would expect there may be some black and white of slides, but who digitizes that stuff?....However, something is puzzling me. The same guy has scratch-built a 2/3rds scale Spitfire replica: LINKOdd.

Neither his age in that video (posted to YouTube in 2017, but the article says it first flew in 2003 - by which time Mr Ferguson is clearly an old man) nor the quality of the aircraft would cause me to question the likelihood that did indeed build the car back in the '60's.
I know from trying to find information on other one-off specials (one in particular that was featured in publications, back in period) that their internet footprint can be surprisingiy negligible. Plus some guys simply aren't self-publicists and don't court that sort of attention... and this is Canada, we're talking about.

Hey! I’m actually one of the current owner’s kids! We have an album of photos from the 70’s as well as the original news paper clippings and trophies! It’s difficult to publicly display so that’s probably why you don’t see many. It’s actually so cool- my dad has the original moles from the making of the headlights and other parts. (I’m actually trying to figure out how to make moles using scanning and 3D printing but I’ll admit it’s out of my depth right now). When I go home for the holidays I’ll try to find it and maybe upload a few. Thanks for your interest in the car! My dad and whole family have been truly honoured to contribute to its legacy through car shows and online articles. However, something is puzzling me. He definetly is! (He’s my dad) He’s been building cars ever since I can remember- some of my first memories are of the monster truck he fashioned out of an old truck to crush cars in our back yard lol. Other than that he’s been refurbishing vintage and exotic cars since before he could drive with the help of my late Nunu (his dad). If anyone could keep the Ferg running it’s him for sure. thank you for the encouraging words, I’m planning on showing him the forum later incase he wants to post on it himself!!Thanks for posting, OP.

How I managed to misspell moulds twice is beyond me- sorry! MarsAtkins said:

Great to see this!..I started the thread as local Canadian content with no idea that it would lead back to the family. Great to have you respond!!!.What a great story! I love learning about cars I didn't know existed.
The fact that the car looks so good is an achievement in itself. But, the fact that all the details are so meticulously thought through and executed is truly remarkable. The Ferguson appears to have a better level of finish than many low volume manufacturers achieve...and it was scratch built!
MarsAtkins, I'm sure your father is the right custodian for this amazing car! If you can add to the story with some 1970s photos, that would be much appreciated.
