Here's some of my favourite pics from yesterday at Hampton Court palace , I took over 400 altogether but lose the will to live posting lots so about 30 will be enough .

I will caption the less obvious makes .

There was well over a dozen old Le Mans cars on display ,this is a Matra .

Maserati

RHD 250 GTO

SIATA 208 , possibly my car of the day ,so beautiful .

Ferrari 250 GT Europa , elegant but also raced in Mille Miglia when new

Pegaso

Countach 25th anniversary

Maserati Quattroporte prototype

2 Lamborghini Miuras ,one with eyelashes and other without .

Mercedes W194 [pre SLR]

OSCA

250 LM

Daytona Competizione

330 GTC Speciale

Bristol Zagato

Sagaris for the TVR fans

Brown isn't popular here but I like it

More Bristol 406S quirkyness

This is a Hofmann , with an X8 engine ,yes X ,with 4 cylinder heads . I overheard this from the owner chatting to some other people and I looked under the rear bonnet and you can see heads on 4 sides.
Apparently gives out 80 BHP ,pretty good for 1935 . Unique ,1 of 1 .

Apollo 3500 ,made by Frank Reisner ,later to make similar cars called Intermecchanica

and last and least , an immaculate Panda 4x4 Treking

and on the right this is Fabrizio Guigiaro , son of Giorgetto who was also supposed to be there .
A lovely man who signed something for me .

This took ages , I now need to lie down for the rest of the day . tumbleweed

Leave a message if you enjoyed the pics ,thanks .

pic of orange Countach went missing .

Lovely selection there, thanks for posting those. The Quattroporte is one of two styled by Frua, it was built for the Arga Khan, both cars now belong to the same owner.

The other Maser further up is an A6G 2000 but I'm struggling to work out which chassis number it is, as it doesn't quite match any of the cars in Walter Baumer's 'bible' on these cars, of which just fifty three were built.

The CoE website mentioned this car months ago as 1 of 3 A6GCS Frua Spyders , only 2 still existing and the first time this particular car has ever been in the UK .

Stunning .

Definitely stunning. The trouble with the A6G series is they are all different, no two are exactly alike and down the years some have been modified, and at least one of them had two different chassis numbers! Some of the Allemano styled cars had the same large grille as the Frua cars too. Here's another Frua Spider...

Just found this shot with the same car you posted...

could be as well, from the front they look better as from the side :-)

their P538 coupe looks a bit like the lovely Alfa 33 stradale

There were some fantastic cars there this weekend and it was a real treat to be there Friday and watch them arriving and doing the parade. First time we’ve been there and owners VIP hospitality was absolutely terrific.

Fortunately I hadn’t registered for the auction as it would have been a rather expensive day.

A lot of stunning machinery there, incredibly pleasant owners too (or custodians as many refer to themselves), I have lots of photos but don’t want to break the thread so keeping it brief, these were my favourites…

Post as much as you like ,it didn't stop RONV posting pics of himself at a totally unrelated event biglaugh

I would have liked to have seen the auction cars ,hoping they were still going to be present on Saturday ,sadly not .
I am a big fan of the early Ferrari Barchettas and there was a Vignale bodied car up for sale .

Agree on the pleasant people and atmosphere , I only spoke to one custodian , of the Hofmann where I learnt a little about the X8 engine .

I have an odd fascination with tyres ,especially massive rubber on supercars .

345 wide on 15" rims on the older Countach 25 .

"Only " 335 wide but on 17" rims on the later Diablo .
