Discussion
Saw this at the weekend, it appears to be a 2 seater Bristol...

Thought it made a change from Bristol's usual fare, and a bit prettier than the current Blenheim Speedster. Any ideas anyone?

It is a Special, based on a Bristol 401, made by Andrew Mitchell of Mitchell Motors in Wiltshire. The body is bespoke and it sits on a shortened 401 chassis.
He has done a superb job on this car, the finish is superb, and by all acounts it goes as well as it looks. It is well used and I believe he has taken it touring extensively around Europe.
More details are available here on the Bristol Owners' Club site.
Edit to ask: where did you see it this weekend?

Don't forget that in the days before the Chrysler V8, Bristols had a pretty sporty image, with original Bristol 400s having been rallied. There was also a factory endurance racing team which had success at Le Mans with the Type 450 'Filton Flyers'.
Just reading the paper this morning and remembered this thread. The story behind the construction of this car is in today's Telegraph Motoring section. It's quite a piece of work...
