Renewing historic vehicle tax, what about the MOT exemption?
Discussion
I have a classic built in 77 which is registered as a historic vehicle. Last summer I put the car through an MOT as I wanted another pair of eyes on it following a resto. All good there.
I have just received the tax reminder at £0. My question however is about the MOT exemption. Do I need to tick a box or something when renewing the tax online. Started down the process but its not clear. Thanks all.

When I did mine online, I just ticked a box I think. You are declaring, in doing so, that the car is not heavily modified and has not received 'substantial changes' in the last 30 yrs and therefore remains exempt from MoT testing.
