If it was built in Australia it would still be a Chevrolet - Holden assembled them locally but didn’t badge them as Holden.
Nothing was badged Holden until 1948 when they launched their own car and locally built Chevrolets actually sat above Holden in the brand hierarchy until they were phased out.

No problem.I had no idea they built “American” cars locally post-war until a few years ago when I was chatting to my barber about his Chevrolet Impala. I asked about the RHD conversion and he replied that it had been built in Port Melbourne!
