I received an email to say my entry was excepted. Have no idea what the criteria for entry is unlike kop hill which is done on age of car I think,
Well their website says all entries are selected by a lucky dip, but i got the same reply as last year saying they have 250 spaces and 400 applied to take part and my entry was not successful Ozzer2006 said:

I think Kop Hill is to some extent based on age, but also on getting a varied line up - if there are 10 1950 Jags they don't all get in and something newer might. Probably??john2443 said:

Just wondering how the Shere Hill climb organizers select the cars to run up the hill each year, Their website says its a lottery via lucky dip and thats fair enough but having 2 rejections back to back makes me a bit annoyed (spoil sport I know!)
That is interesting. I understood it to be partly what took the organisers fancy - they are looking for an interesting/novel/eclectic mix of cars. They ask for a brief outline of your car and your interest in it so seem to be looking for some stories/history to give them cause to choose cars.Either way I seem to have got lucky and will be going up the hill this year in my Cayman. Last year I went up in the 370z. The chap I was next to had got in with his first attempt in his Elise 111R but had been unlucky several times previously when he had tried entering his Ferrari…
Good luck in the future - it is a great day out and good fun to head off up the hill a few times.
