My sister lives near Stockenchurch and this old truck is a play feature in the woods near her house. Can anyone tell me what it is / was? Thanks

I think it's possibly an AEC Matador?

Agree that it's probably an AEC Matador, probably ex-MOD like this one : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AEC_Matador

On further research it's actually an AEC Monarch MKIII from 1947, All Monarch models had chassis numbers in the O345xxx range.

Maybe used for forestry until it expired?

Interesting, I'd leaned toward a Matador due to the single rear wheels and matched front/rear off road tyres (plus it ending up in the woods!), but I guess a chassis number is pretty definitive.

I think you are correct on that. When I researched the chassis number I came across lots that were used in forestry work.
