Missed the boat on that somewhat! The 'interesting fellow' across the road was spending time washing his poo brown Land Rover on Saturday so should have been a clue... never be able to understand that one, coveting a Land Rover (in st brown of all things), plus all the farmers I grew up with used to deride drivers of clean Land Rovers anyway We splashed our way round the back roads of north Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire with 40 other classics on the Minster Classics 'Shake Down Run'. It was the first outing of the year in our Riley and despite the appalling weather we enjoyed it, the car ran well, the route was good, we managed to avoid most of the potholes and the cream tea at the finish was delicious - what more could one ask for?
