Lancia Delta Late Brake Show
Discussion
Oh dear. This is probably the only time I've considered remortgaging the house for a car. Unfortunately a near impossible sell to the wife.
My want for one of these is very high, but I know that I'd be much better off and realistic in looking to get my 4wd rally car hit from a GR Yaris.
With the quality of work and time going into the Maturo Stradale though, I have to say that it almost seems like good value when you consider £150-200k Club Italia and Edizione Finale cars. Not going to be for me though unless my numbers come up.

Interesting to see the comments regarding the lack of development and the flaws in the Evo road cars, maybe they aren’t the fantastic machines they are reckoned to be?
Unlike many restomods it looks like a lot more thought has gone into what goes under the skin.
If I’m being especially picky I would ask for mine to retain the orange indicators of the standard car, and have the wheels in silver.

IF you chuck them the 300K they'll probably do that for you.Unlike many restomods it looks like a lot more thought has gone into what goes under the skin.

Tbh i've felt the same about a couple of 'homologation special' road cars i've driven, namely E30 M3 Sport Evolution and Sierra RS500s (standard road cars). Perhaps it's the styling and expectations from having seen their competition variants, but both cars felt somewhat 'flat' and fell short of my expectations at least. Not the end of the world, just means you don't have to pay the exorbitant asking prices to own one

I can't speak for the Evo, but coincidentally I've just posted something in the Alfa/Fiat/Lancia forum about my integrale which was for sale:A very keen chap came up from London to view it with a mechanic friend. It was one of his dream cars, he loves them etc etc. All was going well until he took it for a test drive. He hated it and is now sworn off ever owning one.
His expectations vs the reality were poles apart. I gather he thought it would be like a Group B rally car from the off, whereas it's actually a creaky old Italian shopping car that is now outclassed (at typical driving speeds) by anything else on the road bar a mobility scooter.

The chap is an idiot. As to this version, I like most of it, but the front indicators should be yellow or even white, the modified rear lights are pointless, no reversing lights, the dashboard has been ruined and they're still using an ancient T3 turbo. The guy also comes across as a bit of a bullster.
