Heading off on a French rally in the summer and just reviewing the list of attendees.

It included one of these which is surely quite rare?

Well yes, it's rare because it's unique.

from the side it looks 'nice' a bit Matra Bagheera-ish, but from this angle it looks euh nah...

seems Zagato...

I had completely forgotten about this car and , as above, my first thought was Bagheera , rejected quickly and followed by Lancia or Alfa Zagato styled cars . Love it - as I also loved the Rover 2000 , a car which, almost above all others epitomised the style , confidence and social fabric of the Sixties. And from once fuddy duddy old Rover who not only raced a bonkers gas turbine car at Le Mans , but also boasted the David Bache cool of the 2000.

All I need now is a sighting of the wonderful Leyland Rover BS

There's plenty of BS around these days, just sadly not the Leyland variety.

Bah! It took nearly ten minutes to get a response!

But I suppose it was quite late in the day!

Most of the BS around here seems to relate to Leyland or Rover.

That's a new one on me, good spot. Like many Zagato creations, it's a bit less than the sum of its parts for me. Looks great from some angles, but very unresolved from others.

Thank you. I wondered if it was a Northern one.

I didn't realise that this was still around. Based on one of the two twin-carb (probably 1965) Rover 2000S prototypes and sold off by Zagato in the late 60s, not Rover, at an asking price nearly double that of a standard 2000TC.
