I'm having trouble getting a replacement slave cylinder for my Allegro 1.5HL.
They look like a Mini one, and are the same size, but the hydraulic hose fitting is 3/8" where the Maxi and Allegro ones have a 7/16" thread.
e-bay has many listed as "Will fit Mini/Allegro/Maxi, but the thread is wrong. I did have a seal repair kit and fittted that, but it did'nt last as the bore is scored.

So has anybody got a link to one? 22mm bore (7/8") but 7/16" thread for the flexi.

Would it not be easier to get a new flexi made up with the correct fitting at each end to allow you to use the new cylinder?

Could be. I have asked what the thread is. Trouble is, they all look the same. I took a "spare" one off an E series engine I had in stock which also has the correct 7/8" thread but unfortunately it was seized solid and the bore was corroded.

Have you tried Past Parts in Bury St Edmunds? They recondition hydraulic cylinders so may be able to make the one you have serviceable.

Thanks. I have ordered the one from Portugal.
I am also getting one of mine tapped out to 7/16" as a spare.
Apparently they are pretty rare now, but frustrating to see so many advertised that won't actually fit.

The one from Portugal has arrived and is the correct one. GSY114 or Moprod MSC901. Now fitted and mobile.

As for the thread for the flexi, it is not 7/16" but a metric thread! My Engineering pal has bought a suitable tap, so I am getting a couple of spares made by drilling and retapping Mini style ones.

Good result Scotty, glad you're mobile again.

As a fellow owner of an old Brit (Triumph GT6) I am acutely aware of how difficult it can be sourcing parts that ought, on the face of it, be quite easy to get but aren't.

For future info, the thread is actually M12 x 1.
