If it's of interest to anyone, today a blue plaque was installed on the Armfield* Club in Bloomfield Road Blackpool. It was the site of Swallow Sidecars which eventually became Jaguar.

The Jaguar Heritage page has been updated as a result - giving details of the history.

* named after Jimmy Armfield.

Thank you for the heads up. For us Jaguar people this was the beginning of a long and winding road which included a number of important models. sadly, the way things are going, I am awaiting a tombstone to be put on the wall at Castle Bromwich

Some years ago I had the pleasure of enjoying an Austin 7 swallow saloon. Super little car which I have long regretted selling. I’m still a member of a couple of A7 clubs and each year the Jaguar club hosts a Summer barbi in recognition of those early ties to the brand.
