Can you identify this classic car bumper/nose cone?
Discussion
Hi Guys. My first post for many years, despite being a regular PH reader
My late Father was a builder and (from what I remember) did a fair bit of work for a classic car panel beater/moulder in the Pangbourne (Berks) area. That business went bust halfway through a workshop renovation. It was in a converted farm building, he specialised in older properties (manor houses / stone garages / even gun sheds!) and they weren't able to pay him at the time, so gave him some parts with a bit of value. This bumper/nose cone was in my Fathers garage when I was sorting through everything, I'm sure it was from that job, and I haven't a clue what car it is for/from?! If anyone on the forum can identify it or has some ideas, that would be awesome! Thank you.

the 904 pic looks pretty compelling.
With the exception that on the nosecone the edges of the lights are raised, whereas on the 904 the edges of the bonnet are above the lights, the central aperture on the nosecone is far wider, and the side apertures are a completely different shape, I'd say it's bob-on did some search, but nope, can't find the exact model and type car, the badge shape looks like say Ferrari and some old racers look a bit, but not the same, strange.
and indeed, at first I thought a Porsche 904 GTS because of the long shape headlights, but nope, then looked to many Italian classics, nope pfff lo, I give up, tell us please

I don't have the answer I'm afraid, hence the post!! I wondered if it could be for something more bespoke like a Gardner Douglas.. looking at the green one here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGOH0tvv7poand indeed, at first I thought a Porsche 904 GTS because of the long shape headlights, but nope, then looked to many Italian classics, nope pfff lo, I give up, tell us please
