Jaguar Mk 2 valuation
Discussion
Have you tried any of the classic car auctioneers? They would probably make an assessment from photos and if there is a prospect of the estate selling the car I expect they would do the valuation for free. This should also suit best for probate purposes given that auction/trade value is likely to be much more realistic in comparison with what what an independent person might come up with. Remember to net seller commission against the value. (I dealt with an estate recently which included a modern car and used a WBAC quote as the declared value.)
Thanks but definitely don’t want to sell - my brother bought the car in July 79 from the first owner and it has been integral part of the family ever since doing it’s bit as company car, transport for multiple trips to Le Mans and numerous weddings.
As it’s a 2.4 in average condition I reckon it’s probably worth mid to late teens but need official valuation to work out value of estate. Obviously it’s nigh on impossible to put a sentimental value on it mind.
