I was wondering what the average values of classics has done in the past few years, but looking online can't find any data that seems super reliable. Lots of blogs mentioning the values of certain cars, but none with data for them as a whole investment category.

Does anyone know where I'd get such a thing, with reliable industry data? I had a look on a couple of auction website to see if they'd written about it but nothing.

It looks like something they put out in the US each year but not the UK.

They do have a nice valuation tool on their site though, if anyone was wondering what their car was worth.

There is no average classic value as classic types are so diverse and it's true value is only what a purchaser is prepared to pay for that vehicle at that time. Simon Kidston has the K500 index, but like most indexes it's only as good as the data entry and volume of data setpoints https://k500.com/the-index

Re' Hagerty US...I'm delighted. It's just valued my 1987 Land Rover Soft Top at $51,200 [£44,490]
