Top of the annual Dutch classic car displays:

Full phat Jaguar XK120 OTS is screaming piano black: it doesn't get any better than this.

1992 Porsche 964 RWB tribute is the most difficult object to catch in full sunlight. Insanely pretty A110 Alpine in the backdrop.

This loud and quick Bugatti was constantly in full chat mode and ruined the track. Well done!

Alpine Reanult A110 1300 weighs only 700 kg. Tiny everything but I fit: saving as we speak. Coulour of this dwarf rallye giant is citrus-like yellow. Ace!

Orange red Mercedes-Benz 300SL: 1955 jewel. Owner informed us about his immaculate looking weapon. "Yes, it can can hot in the car. But then, there were no traffic jams when this was built." #truth

Beautiful event. The biggest classic car display parade in The Netherlands. I'll fill up this thread with my piccies. Hope you enjoy it ;)

Tachyon Motorsport's stand was the last place to go after more than seven hours of strolling. Nice to speak to Donald Bramer and to shoot the muddy Dodge Viper. A racing beast with over 800 bhp. Whew!

I spotted three Ari 308 GT4 on the fields. It might not catch every one's drift but to me this is perfection. About 1.200 kg, angry 3 litre on hot carbs, 2+2 and fast forward cabine with cool wrap around cockpit and a drivers option that I can't resist: the invitation to drive quicker than allowed. When all is warmed up this baby begs for it. My kinda car at all.

Ultra rare TVR 350i. This model was the first TVR I ever drove. Quick and super agile (SWB) RV8 powered jewel. I love these. And 200 ps is nuff to have all the joy.

Prewar dust race: a speed bump shows how 'rigid' ladder frames are. They aren't! Beautiful sounds from classic engines.

The SAAB stand stood out: little gem Sonnet looked great but star of the show had to be the 93 Combi. Just look at it! Very nice owners. Two stroke!

Bloemendaal jewel Alfa Romeo SS Sprint Speciale with hefty 150k pricetag. This one looked 100% but IMO 100k would do. Dream garage!

Way more to come. Hope to see you next year!

Looks a great event. Thanks for the photos. I can't believe Ferrari GT4s were once so unloved and now look so cool.
(And like many Italian cars look better when they aren't red).

This Gandini gem - thx to Pininfarina being slow - is a superb weapon and a true sports car.

I think it gave Ferrari time to reflect on the 911 succes and develop the 308 GTS/GTB into a more modest driving GT like car.
Just like the 911 G Model is...

A 308 GTB is 200 kgs heavier than the GT4 and has a more tame V8.

I'd say: try a GT4 before you die. It is such a fantastic driver and in my eye it looks truly great.

On with the show:

One of the many highlights of the 2022 Concours d'Elegance Soestdijk (NL) was this small 1937 MG: 761 kgs and 1.3 litres should be fun.

Lancia Flaminia by Zagato must be one of the most elegant 60s GT cars.

Ultra rare Honda Civic: back in the day I thought these were superior to millionseller VW Golf...

Belgium / Dutch venture Monceau Automobiles refurbishes 60s and 70s Mercedes-Benz and equippes with decent EV tech. I drove this eSLC and was amazed at the quality: fantastic drive respects the original 450 V8 character and dressed up in ultra chique guise. Fan!

Hard to beat 105-series coupe: 1968 Alfa Romeo GT Veloce 1750 is a favorite since the 70s. Soundtrack of my youth!

More to come.

For me this little Fiat 508 Berlinetta Mille Miglia was the absolute triumph of the show.
Just look at it! More info here https://markgeessink-classiccars.com/fiat-508-cs-b... - Aerodynamics gem.

Early DT Pantera on the other end of the spectrum. Low and reliable supercar at the time backed with Ford dealership coverage and equipped with the revvy 351 Cleveland.

Dutch Brooks outfit dropped this drop dead gorgeous E. Wow and wow.

Yeah, well... yeah!

Classic parking shows 60s and 70s automotive highlights mainly. Here and there a 50s jewel and an 80s gem.

On with the show:

These were the top trump bikes of my youth. Back in the late 70s the Laverda Jota, Moto Guzzi LM and Ducatie 750 and 900 SS were the kings of the hill and the ones to spot. Benelli Sei and MV Agusta 750 America were just too rare.

Rare as hens teeth: Mazda - or any 60s and 70s Japanese car - is the classic underdog at any classic event. How compact are they IRL?

Now watch this.

One of 797 Iso Rivolta cars. Elegant Italian styling powered by 5.4 litre Chevy tech.

Lovely and elegant too: 1964 Porsche 356 SC

It's worth a weekend and combine with a day at the (Wassenaar) Louwman Museum or DAF Museum.

Or the Aviation & Military museum at the nearby former Soesterberg airfield.

On with the show:

Belgium entry: modified Opel Manta series 1.

Super cool Jaguar XK120 in black piano laquer was the sure show stopper at the classic parking.

Lava Orange 2.4 Targa and Mercedes-Benz 190SL.

Oooof, Alpine A110 alert at the classic parking. Don't worry about a thing with the 1300 screamer in the back. It's quick.

When a DeTomaso Pantera appears, all ears and eyes are focussed on this Italian / Yank hybrid. Phat 351 Ford Cleveland and proper livery!

Fab 1969 sixpot DBS caught my eye.

Fred Amsing built a superb 30s hot rod and enjoyed to rev the nuts of it.

In the presence of (carefully avoided) contemporary siblings it struck me how small these mid 70s racers actually are.

Citroen Mehari love. If only all city cars looked like this. The world would be a better place, yeah?

TVR made some excellent small sportscars in the 60s and 70s. Lightweight and powered by a 1800 MGB fourpot, a Ford 3 litre V6 or Triumph 2.5 litre straight six engine. Hard to work out a favorite...
This is one of the 438 produced S2 Vixens. The S2 had a longer wheelbase to host a Ford 289 CID V8 (called Tuscan). Fantastic period (1969) colour and powered by the 100 brake 1.8 MGB.

Bentley Roadster.

The Brooks Classic Car outfit was a feast for the eye. Excellent 1954 3.4 litre straight six DOHC powered Jaguar XK120.

Looking from this Lancia Fulvia there's an olive Mk2 Jaguar XJ6 and a SWB 60s Landy passing by.

Oooof. Fantastic Italian GT that is the Maserati 3500 GT.

Pur Sang Argentina replica of an Alfa Romeo 2900; probably my most beautiful car ever.

The Siata 208S was equipped with the Otto Vu Fiat V8. Registration says this one has a 1.4 litre engine in.

Forget everything you want in a car. Just forget about it.

Typical eclectic line-up at the classic parking: Lancia Aurelia Coupe, Triumph Herald, Porsche 911 2.7 and - I guess - a Sunbeam Tiger.

Steel typography caught my eye. Especially when on a Giugiaro penned body.
