I'm thinking a Lotus or a kit car of some sort? Looks familiar but I can't place it. She said it sounded lovely. She reckons V8.

I can't find any Venturi with those back lights. What idiot suggested that in the first place?

I googled “Testarossa inspired kit car”

and came up with the RV Nemesis.

Looks about right: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=rv+nemesis+kit+c...

100% RV Nemesis - And funnily enough, far rarer than a genuine Ferrari Testarossa!

(To be fair, if I recall correctly, whilst cheaper than a genuine Testarossa "back in the day", they were still quite pricey for a kit car)

What's it built on then? Because it wasn't Testarossa big.

Probably a Fiero

There’s a Countach kit for a X1/9... so scale doesn’t seem to be a major factor.

Nope! - It was built on a bespoke semi-monocoque/semi-space frame chassis: https://www.madabout-kitcars.com/kitcar/kitcar_det...
