<25K classic: what would you buy?
Discussion
Good car, a lovely car, but not really my bag as I lean toward the eclectic and the downright insane from the 70’s and 80’s as my preferred sorts of classic
In no particular order
Lambo Espada
Monterverdi 375 – there is actually one for sale at the moment
Lister XJS
Maserati Quatroporte Series 1
ISO Fidia
Any of these can be had for mid teens and still have enough to run the bugger. With my own recent purchase as I am rapidly discovering, its not buying it, its getting bits fabricated that’s the killer.
Common link between the Aston and the Deauville? Brake callipers it has transpired, now there’s something to impress your mates with down the pub

Saw a beastie on ebay the other day.
It was a '92 model Esprit, that a lotus dealer had done a body swap on, putting an S3 shell on it.

Did get me thinking that a V8 chassis, running gear, electrics, interior etc, wrapped in an S1 bodyshell would be an interesting toy.

Very nice. I've just bought a DBS V8 for less then that- but the Oscar India is a better car in many respects.
Oh, those brake callipers? On the Aston V8, the front are shared with the Lambo muira, the rear with a Bristol of some sort.
POlus mine has Cortina side lights, Mercedes fuel injection, etc etc
