D Type - Built in '62 from a new lhd E-type and some original parts so a racing driver could partake in european road events. Now turbo'd

Nott sure the Vipers, GT or Ascari are classics yet, but good to see 'em.

Oh yes. A Proper motorcar. As Dudley Moore once said 'They're boxy but they're good'!

Is it that busy every time the meeting's held?

Oh and when is it held?
Looks as though it's worth the trip across London to have a look

May to September or so, always busy like that. It's very weather dependant, as you can imagine.Having said that, even in a rainy november you'll get 30 odd cars.
Held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Definitely worth a trip across london for - a fair few come a lot further than that!

Nope, a Bristol. The 412, I believe.

I believe Chapron built them. There are/were also some 'aftermarket' conversions AFAIK.
Beautiful car indeed.

Mmmm... I think you're right.
Check...

Like I said, there where also some aftermarket conversions. Think this could be one of them?
Still a beauty...

tog,
I'm going tonight. It'll be the first classic night I've been to at the Ace although I normally go to the Porsche nights!

If you're a Porsche person you might be interested in my car tonight - it's air-cooled and rear engined, but has a V8 not a flat six... If you can guess what it is, you should be able to spot it!

Yes - a 1992 613 to be precise. It is currently in the classifieds under Rare Cars if you want to see any pics... I've just got back from the Ace - lots of nice cars tonight, but I'm afraid I didn't take any pics so can't show you what else was there to keep me company. Lots of Sunbeam Tigers, an Interceptor, a few E-types, a very nice 1960 Cadillac Coupe, sundry Astons, several Mustangs (proper ones, not new ones), and so on.
