My friend contacted me today as he found a photo of his late father posing with his first car and he would really like to know what it is. I think it's a Morris? I don't know much about cars of that era

Looks a bit like a Morris 12, but they don't have the headlamps on a bar.

It is indeed a Pre Series 10/4.

My friend says that the picture was taken in 1961 so it was already an old car. His father paid £25 for it that year
