Today's "whats this?"

Spotted this on an old episode of Chasing Classic Cars - it looks quite purposeful, quite squat, for some reason it puts me in mind of Crowley's '35 Bentley in Good Omens* although its a lot smaller:



Anyone know what it is?



(*if my numbers ever come up I am 100% having a 35 Bentley restomod built!)
