John Lennon's flowered up Rolls Royce in '67... and no that's not Lennon towards the end of the clip!

Giunness heir Tara Browne's psychedelic AC Cobra in '66... in December that year he 'blew his mind out in a car', namely his Lotus Elan, giving Lennon the initial idea for 'A Day In The Life'...

Here are a few to wet your whistles.

Particularly enjoyable is the environmentally oblivious disposal of old cars....

...different World for sure!

Thames TV prog 'Drive In' from '78 with good old dependable Tony Bastable and Shaw Taylor talking about car security, and a nice little feast of period motors, the silver XJ6 with the geezerish black vinyl roof was last taxed in '96...

Which lovely was she then? I was there and drooled over the Sibilo and Panther 6 rather than the girls but then I was only 10.

Motorshows were so exciting back then.

Found this amateur cine film of Birmingham in 1964 with the usual motors of the day. Not much in the way of sports cars apart from the odd MGB or Spitfire. Lotus Cortina's seem quite plentiful amongst the Anglias, Minis, Heralds etc. Look at the money they go for now.

Rallye Monte Carlo historique 2020

Some cars taking a very sharp left hand hairpin in some style.

Others less so!
