1992 chevy lumina 3.1l Euro yea yea i know its a 14 year old relatively generic sports sedan but i love mine and i think it should get a little more respect as it is quite nimble and is the stablest car i have driven. i just got 235s (tires) on it new suspension in back and changed the gaskets and brake.its very reliable and i just luv it anyone else ever own one? anywho its not a bad car even though itll never be a lancia stratos but hey its a car from my teen years i cant help but loving this thing heehee wait till i finish on it i wanna do a engine swap and get a v8 into it but i have to do some major body work on it first.in my mind this car is definately part of yesterdays heroes.

I was looking for info to find out what the car looked like (sorry, it looks dull!), and found this amazing review.... Nuts. like squirrels.

I should point out that I am not laying waste to your motor, I actually like it - and it looks much better than the jelly mould later (1994) shape

V8 at the front?

Transverse?

It's wrong wheel drive also isn't it?
Could be interesting....

Honestly forget about trying to put a Corvette V8 in your Lumina. I'm not saying it can't be done, anything can be done given a big enough hammer...BUT I would expect it to be a very difficult conversion, cost a fortune for fabricating all sorts of brackets and bits, it would probably unbalance the car, etc. etc.

The Lumina is an OK sedan as it is, just tune it up, take decent care of it, and enjoy it.

If you want to stuff a V8 into a car, do an MGB-V8 conversion - been done thousands of times, kits with every little bracket are available, would be worth something when you finish...
