Chaps

For all you who have read Michael Hipperson's great posts here on PH, you will know he has some great stories about his super cars.

He has now put these stories together in a book, Let Them Stare.

It is available here:

Michael was kind enough to send my copies over a few days early and just read through the whole thing in a single sitting - unheard of for me. I got the Top Gear book for Christmas and only finished it last week!

Just wanted to say Bravo Michael! Absolutely fantastic, really interesting from start to finish and clearly a labour of love. Feels a really quality product, brilliant layout and a great read.

Stop rubbing it in!

Some of us have to wait a few more days.

My 2016 copy sat on the book shelf squeezed between two more weighty volumes until spotted yesterday. Numbered volume 715/1000

I have to say, what a great read.

We all have stories of cars that ' got away ' but Michael Hipperson seemed to have managed to get his hands on some fantastic exotica we can only dream about.

If out of print, readers are encouraged to beg, borrow or steal a copy and put your feet up to dream of a world of living with GT40s, Porches, Ferraris of every variant when it was just possible.

As a footnote, a lime green Miura S reputedly ex Twiggy was seen in my village owned by a trader for a short while.

To you sir, I raise a glass for the legend.
