isn't it a DB or one of the specials they did for panhard?
I think it goes like this:
D = Charles Deutche
B = Rene Bonnet
Big argument
CD makes CD panhards
RB makes RB which bought by Matra and renamed Djet
Very 'potted' history that misses loads of important stuff.
Or maybe I'm completely wrong......

V8Tunder takes the prize!
I am fairly sure that the car competed in the classic warm up race at Le Mans a few years ago. What amused greatly is that the old boys driving some of them had to run across the track ‘old style’ before the race.
The Panhard was driven by an enormous fat French chap who more wobbled than ran and then just about managed to squeeze himself behind the controls.
Infinitely preferable to the main race once again

looks like a Rochdale Gt with a different back end and bonnet scoop (plus extra lights flared in).
pic here
Might be a custom body?
Is that Rochdale a plastic car???
Is that strange body customized for the Le Mans race? For aerodynamics? Looks like a coffin will fit nicely.
Edit to say: http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=156194
Maybe someone can give me some info 'bout this one.

Ligier JS2. Ligier as in Guy Ligier - rugby player, racing driver and F1 team owner. I think that the JS2 was a sports racer, of which a certain number (not sure how many, I'll have to look that up) of roadgoing cars had to be built for homologation. Maserati engined, took part at Le Mans (and other sports car races) in early 70s. JS is for Jo Sclesser, racing driver and partner of Ligier, killed driving the wayward Honda RA302 in the 1968 French GP (and uncle of J-L Schlesser who had that unfortunate contretemps with Senna at Monza in '88. I have a vague recollection of reading somewhere that Ligier used the even numbers for road cars and the odd numbers for racing cars.
