Hi All, hope everyone had a nice Chrimbo.

I have the following information regarding what could be a very interesting day out, and it is completely free of charge. If anyone is looking for more activities and/or events in which they can use their classic car, from touring runs to forest stage rallying, and everything in between, this should be of interest.

This day would be of particular use to those looking for some form of competition for which very little car preparation is necessary:

>>HRCR LAUNCHES OPEN DAY

The Historic Rally Car Register will unveil its full 2005 competition programme at an Open Day to be at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon on Saturday, 15 January 2005.

The open Day, which is FREE OF CHARGE to members AND NON MEMBERS alike, will showcase the comprehensive 2005 HRCR programme. Free tea and coffee will be available on arrival.

The day will be the perfect chance for those considering any branch of historic rallying to find out more about one of the fastest growing areas of the sport in Britain.

Full details of the Armajaro MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the HRCR Clubmans Rally Championship, the new HRCR Night Road Rally Championship, Continental Tours and UK Scenic Tours will be available to existing and prospective competitors.

Starting at 9:30am and running until 4:30pm. the Open Day will incorporate FREE seminars on stage rally co‑driving and vehicle eligibility. For necessary purposes these seminars are SUBJECT TO PRE-BOOKING. (CONTACT:- Brian Thomas on 01594-810821 e. mail brian@hrcr.co.uk )
Organisers of individual championship rounds will be on hand to talk to competitors and field enquiries about their 2005 events and championship sponsors will also be present.

A display of up to 50 historic rally cars will be mounted in the outside display area and the 2005 Armajaro MSA British Historic Rally Championship will be officially launched by a star guest.

The Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon is just off junction 12 of the M40 near Warwick. The on‑site cafe will be serving lunch from 12 noon until 2:00pm. Car parking is free.

4X4 prize for Open Day
As an additional attraction to what is already an excellent day out, Members who attend the HRCR open day at Gaydon on 15th January will be put into a free raffle draw courtesy of the Heritage Motor Centre. The seven winners will receive a demonstration ride around the Centres famous 4X4 track during that afternoon.
