Sticking Heater

Hi,
The heater on my Rochdale GT is sticking; it will only spinn when you give the fan a bit of encouragement to move. Any ideas what is causing this?

Fan motor bearings dried out? Worn brushes?

do you use an original BL Styled heater motor (a cylinder essentially) as you can pick them up for around £30 on ebay from mgbreaker usually.

to get a auto-electrician to replace bushes etc is about £20 or so.
