My new mag' subscription

Hope you can put me right, I've ordered 'The Automobile'magazine to come direct to me by post. My cheque has been cashed and I understand that the mag is due third monday of each preceeding month. So this means 20th December or there abouts?

Or is it 3 mondays after the last issue?

It will be the third monday of the month, they will turn up even if you get no comunication to tell you it is all in place, my subscription has always been fine.

It depends entirely on when you ordered your subscription. With our mags (and I'm sure that the Automobile is no different) there will be a cut off point in the month for any new additions to the subscriber file. This is to allow sufficient time to run off the labels and finalise the print run. You've no way of telling if you'll be getting the magazine on the 20th December (although if you've ordered within the last week then it will be a close thing)without phoning to check. They ought to be happy to let you know when.

The thing about third monday of preceding month won't shed any light on it. All that tells you is that the mag that will go on sale on the 20th December will be called "January 2005" and so on. Motor Sport and The Automobile are unique in coming out in the middle of the month - I can still find it bloody confusing to work out which is the correct cover date...

Thanks chaps, I have started to read through my other mags so Automobile in mid month is a sort of freshener up read, then I go back to my others to continue on them. In English it means I read alot
