Come the Spring I should be up and running around almost certainly in a Morris 'Bullnose'tourer

With the latest Govermental edict on UK motorists I can forsee that I may well be the 1st driver of a pre war to get nicked for speeding on our 2005 so called road transport system

You only have to look see where the speedometer is sited and can only guess the accuracy anyway. Happy days

Still I may get some publicity FOC

You lucky man David; consider this.
All modern cars as you probably know are obliged to use reflective number plates, one of the drawbacks being that they make a really nice photo on a speed camera!
But your old Morris can be ran on a nice shiny black and silver aluminium plates, which, if polished up properly, might just be enough to cause lens flare in the camera, what a shame that would be eh??

A speeding ticket in a prewar needs to be framed. My austin has a very vague speedo, and I have not been caught yet, but then driving a prewar means you tend to avoid the sort of roads that have cameras.

This reminds me, some years ago driving my SEAC to the F.O.S. I was overtaken by a massive great green monster. The noise of my SEAC was drowned out as he went past, we looked at each other and instinctively we both laughed and gave a

I have no materialistic bent really, but if I ever find myself wealthy enough the only real indulgence that appeals, (apart from an historic J class racing yacht!), is a Blower Bentley!
They are simply beautiful!
