Afternoon gents,

I'm looking to hire a Jag E-Type (pref series 1 roadster) around the Surrey area for my wedding.
Does anyone have any recommendations/ballpark prices?

Cheers

Sorry, no. It's a good idea, and I hope you have a good wedding, but have you experience in driving a car of that age and type? It's not rocket science, but it's worth getting the hang of some quirks first.

The Classic Car Club in London is fun, and usually have a E Type on their fleet, but you have to join for a year or so, and you won't get access to the more expensive or quirky cars until you have used some of the lesser ones first and not broken them

Be warned! Many classic car hire firms will go to great lengths to retain your deposit of a grand or whatever on the basis that the car is damaged / has stonechips / etc....

There is a co in Sussex who had an early E Roadster for hire, but I can't think of their name.

But how about a Griff 500 ? Not quite as pretty, but a far better and thrilling drive. There was one recently on Car and Classic for hire.
