Evening all

I got a jumper pack here which I haven't used for a couple years so assumed it was dead. Today, it's started ticking, not clock spaced ticking, more like ten clicks a second, and it's continuous.

What the fk is a matter with it? Is it about to explode???

Basically, it's just a motorbike battery in a box, with some very basic charging circuitry, maybe a small compressor. There's not much that SHOULD tick in there, unless it's plugged in?

I think I'd be shoving it outside, just in case...

Not really. They don't tick

They click their fingers, usually to jazz!

Probably a relay on the charging circuit, is it almost flat?

Yeah I reckon it must be pretty flat. I've slung it outside now!

Maybe it has acquired sentience and is trying to wish you Merry Christmas. I for one welcome our new battery charger overlords.
