ZOMG 1982 Astra lepton POWAH
Discussion
Out in my 1981 Lancia Beta yesterday I saw a lovely Scimitar, a decent XJS, and a dirty Stag. I was also totally blown off on the A1(M) by a 1993 Citroen BX Turbo. No surprise there, but on the way back I was unable to catch a 1982 Astra. It was this one or one just like it. 'kinnel.

O.P I suspect you drove through some sort of time portal there, how the feck do you run into that much old metal in December?
I suppose the lack of frost/salt has extended things a bit this year.
Had a 1300S version of the Mk1 Astra and yes it was bloody fast, I followed it with a Mk2 1300 then a Mk2 1800GTE, the GTE didn't feel all that much faster than that Mk1 1300 did.
The Mk1 GTE was a lovely piece of kit in it's day, my Brother had one of the first and I was dead jealous. Like a lot of cars the Mk1 has aged better than the Mk2 in terms of design (IMO of of course
