Personally I believe that the Classic Mini should be celebrated by those that are owners, i am 17 and own a 1982 Mini Mayfair, pictures will be uploaded at a later date.

So all owners of Mini's please feel free to share your pictures, your pride and joy or even your project.

My first car was a Mini 1275 GT, my dad bought it when I was 14 and we spent 5 years rebuilding it. MG Metro interior, 1380 race engine, centre exit exhaust- I loved it and was shocked when it was given to me on my 19th Birthday. Like a dick I sold it 6 months later as an Orion 1600 Ghia caught my eye.
This week I have been looking at another Leyland 1275 GT with a view to rebuilding it with my pops while we still can then to keep it as long as I can.

Still one of the very best cars of all. Over the years ive had loads of Minis and loved every one of them. They have all you need, fastastic handling, economy, cheap parts and a hot heater! Love them.

Well the Mini I own is a drivable project which I intend to change the engine from the current 998cc engine to a 1400 supercharged engine, my dad had many in his days so he knows Mini's in and out, but I will always recommend a Mini, also, I think everyone should own a Mini in there life.

No problemssmile

Enjoy your Mini, wish I'd kept mine - had a saloon and a van (ex Thames gas board) with push starter on the floor, sliding windows etc - happy days yes

That seems to be a common thing to which people say, that they wish they'd kept it, which i intend to do for a very long time smile going to visit a few mini shows when I can to get inspiration smile
