Classified car sales seem to be a bonkers at the moment, with a VW Camper, Mini or MK 1 Escort on the rise daily. Yet there are some cars that you can still get for very little money. Here's my opening shout for some, what would you add?

Having spent my youth in one I know why they are cheap. They were dreadful cars.Saab 93 & 95 - people think they can't get spare parts, but there are loads of specialists and most major parts are out of the GM bucket. So many were sold that if anything becomes scarce, there will be a market to remanufacture. The new 95 is the only one to avoid, as put on market before fixed due to impending company doom, but only a handful were sold before the bankrupcy. Mine would be an 06 Linear 150 with leather and 27,000 miles for under £5000 (today on Gumtree)

No!The slant four was a Triumph/Ricardo design. Saab took the original 1703 version in the original 99, decided it was s
t (they weren't very good) and re-engineered it for 1973/4 as the 2 litre - which was a great engine.Anything that's 'undervalued'(read 'unwanted') is probably priced about right.

The Rollers especially as most of the really, really cheap ones (sub £3k) are possibly worth more in parts then as whole cars!
And the best are only worth £10-£15k! Madness!
Same goes for the Bentley Turbo R. A friend of mine got his 1987 model for just under £8k! Fantastic cars for the money.
Most of the bread and butter cars are very cheap and they will disappear as a result.
There are so many I can mention but cars like the Renault GTA which would be good value at £20k can be had for a fraction of that. MGBs are great fun cars for the price of a decent TV.
The same cars in more classic conscious counties go fo much more.
I'm just happily that I can own cars that as a child I dreamt of but because of low prices, I can own them.

Don't want too many people to know about these hidden bargains, I'm annoyed enough that Minis just keep going up and up, even when I started driving you could get a useable one for £1k, only 5 years ago. I want P6 values to stay low so I can get one in a couple of years! I'd love a Mini but I really don't think I could ever justify the price a good one goes for these days.
