i saw a very badly damaged 1930's classis car on the northbound a34 yesterday, utterly wrecked and jammed into the central reservation.

i hope the people in it where ok, if anything, it made me think about how car safty has moved on, it looked to have been in very nice order, and probably someones pride and joy

That's awful frown

This is the only news item I could find about it, it doesn't mention the occupants. http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/10309860.A34_lane...

I saw this too. The car was in a terrible mess. As I passed the car I said openly 'Oh no, that looks awful.'

Made me realize how vulnerable we are in our old jalopies where they are not, in any way, built to the same modern safety standards we all take for granted in our modern day cars. At the time it was snowing - I was in the Subaru with winter tyres and wondered what old type block tread rubber was on the crashed car.

Our thoughts go to the driver and any passengers hoping they're all well.
