I have an irresistible urge to buy one, and do it up a little.

Where would be the best place to find one, and what are reasonable prices for them? I'd be looking for one in good condition, but not necessarily showroom quality. If its not black or maroon red, its getting repainted.

I will have a garage as of next month too.

I was looking to get one a few years ago (but didn't in the end), these guys seem to be the people to talk to:

http://www.thezfarm.co.uk/

They are in N Yorks though, so not local to you!

Not too up on prices these days but a good 240 was already post £10K (from dealers)4 or so years ago and they seem to have gone up a lot since then, probably nearer £15k. I'm sure you'd get a good car privately for around £10k though.

260s are much cheaper than 240s so you'll get a better car for the money but not as quick.

Be aware too, that they rust prodigiously and are expensive to sort. Get an expert inspection if you are not totally sure you know what to look for.

Good luck. Hope to see some pics when you get one.

Thank you!

There is one in the Autotrader which looks rather perfect actually. Would just change the color, and price seems bang on what you were saying.
