afternoon ladies and gents.
i have been wanting to scratch an itch that i have had for about 8-9 years, namely a volvo p1800. Have any of you members ever owned said car? what are they like as a car to live with? issues/problems. it would be a second car but i would like to use it possibly 4-5 days a week with my longest run would be from edinburgh to durham one a month.
ANY advice,tips etc would be very much appreciated.

Yes, had a '67 1800S and used it as a daily driver from 1993-96. Loved it and it never failed at all, coping with a daily commute from Brentwood to Leyton round the M25 easily.
Nothing went wrong with it apart from needing a new exhaust at one stage and was serviced by a local Volvo main dealer and the Swedish Car Centre in Walthamstow.
They're quite heavy to steer when it comes to low speed parking manouvres, but it's such a small price to pay for such a cool car.
The car I regret selling the most, especially as the prices have gone up considerably recently, as I'd love another, but can't see it happening really.
