Opel senator 3.0 1989

Friend has his late mothers senator in storage has no idea of value its very tidy, 54k, leather, alloys ect only down side is rear archs have small amount of rust. Any ideas of value please. Thanks in advance

The two door Monza has a following but even they can be hard to shift, so presuming the Senator has no MOT, then it's scrap value really.

I wish I could find room for that, I love those. Would sit well with the Monaro and Quattro, not so much with my wife I think.

Apologies for crashing the party but I beg to differ. The Senators have a good following these days either with the enthusiasts or dare I say it, the drift boys. Depending on spec/condition then it could be worth a few quid to the right person. Ok so we're not talking priceless classic, however selling for scrap for £100 would be such a shame. If you can get more information and some images, perhaps try posting up on the Autobahnstormers and so on.

So this will be the model with the 'mouthorgan' grille, right? I vaguely think if its an '89, it will be 12v, and will be auto (only plod had 3.0 manuals - and it won't be one of these, as it has leather seats).

Not very desirable as Senators go, unfortunately, but becoming thinner on the ground. There would be a buyer somewhere !

24V CD Senator owner here
Rear arches can LOOK as though they have a little rust, but there is a load underneath in reality. However, there are some that are just exactly that - a little bit rusty.
It sounds as though it’s a 12v CD by all accounts, the 12V CIH engine goes on and on and on. Not too much value in them though. Carlton’s are much better in that respect. I expect £5-700. Although there is another 100,000 miles left in the car.
Posting up on the Autobahnstormers is the way to go (I am a member on there as well)
Shame it’s not a 24V though, you can understand why the police liked them. Not the quickest up to 60 compared to cars today, but when the dual ram kicks in, especially in 3rd (at about 78) – off you go!
