Agree it does look a nice original car that just wants some detailing e.g. Ride height etc
Price wise who knows but there's a lot of white space between his opening bid of £6k and this one

I'd go for Shetland Beige. Are those mirrors really going for £500? They're not so rare in chrome.
Bonnet Wingards are 7-900 now. You can still find the door mirrors for 300ish. A lot of restos cheat and use the smaller TR7 (and others) ones which are ten a penny. I think the chrome ones you refer to are the same size as the smaller ones?
I think I have about £10k of wing and door mirrors in original boxing based on EBay prices. I ought to start offloading really.

Every time I look at this one my flabber is just that little bit more ghasted - non standard colour, wrong wheels, wrong tailgate, wbasto sunroof that is - let's be charitable - an acquired taste, 'needs minor tlc' and all for the bargain price of £28kPrice wise who knows but there's a lot of white space between his opening bid of £6k and this one

Just to prove people take notice of forum tips....and a thank you to people who have helped on this thread.
Tyres. Bought five Continental Cross Contact from DCM Tyres in Dorset for £78 plus VAT. Really suit the car. DCM also did a full alignment that was reassuring.
Headlining. Jason tip was brilliant. £300 with no VAT inc sunroof. He noticed a rear speaker was not connected correctly and sorted FOC. Noticed foam in front of screen absent as disintegrated. Fixed for a tenner. Imp this as otherwise water hits heater electrics. His number is 07779 303858.
Next job is ABS PH tip and a fuel tank gauge solve.
Thanks.

I'm currently looking at a 200tdi range rover to restore and worry the body is kinked at the back. When you look at the roof gutter it seems fairly straight till the back of the rear doors, after this it curves downwards a fair bit. Could someone post a picture of the view of the roof gutter front to back to give me a better idea please
Many thanks

Just found this great thread I don't have a particularly exotic rrc just a 91 vogue se but love how reliable and practical she is and think she looks so cool!! I've been putting off replacing the upper tailgate as she closes so sweetly but it is heavily corroded any ideas who and where I should get to do the job?

Thanks donkeyapple I used him to do a couple of bits replace radiator and sort out the central locking really nice chap but I asked him about the tailgate and he said they were very difficult to get hold of and suggested calling breakers etc so hit a roadblock with him.
Ah, the issue is you need to source one rather than git one. Got you. Have they stopped making to aluminium tepo ones then?
I think it was Famous Four who had them?
I know of a VELAR one. The owner will accept fees over £2k
Looks like you can still get the repos: https://www.famousfour.co.uk/new_parts/ff_part?par...
Meanwhile on eBay look at this absolute minter

Some years ago I owned CSK No42 (?) - Really enjoyed it, and though it was the most unreliable car I have ever owned, and I managed 9mpg at one point, it rose in value and all in probably meant a year or so of free motoring....!
I can't work out what right sir of price is at the moment - I'd like a soft-dash 1995 (?), probably a petrol auto - what sort of price should I expect to pay for one that won't need welding work or suspension replacing?
Great thread!
