I'd love a classic British or Italian sports car. Something light & revvy.

But I also have a secret hankering for the complete opposite of that - a mid 60s Lincoln Continental convertible with the suicide doors. Black with chrome trim. Whitewall tyres.

There are a couple for sale in Europe at just over €100k, so you might just get one for under £100k.
(The Espanda isn't the only car mentioned on this thread which would break the £100k barrier by quite a margin)

I was never ambitious but always loved the Elan Plus 2, so I bought a basket case and after 5 years hard work ended up with this.



Put 15k miles on that car and loved it, only to sell it when I reached the stage when it was fully developed and could not really be made any better.

Missed it so much that I'm on to my second restoration of a Plus 2. I just love them even though many do not - such an underrated car and delightful to drive

An easy choice I thought, either a Talbot 105, preferably one of the works cars (BGH 23 would do nicely) or an ERA, Romulus or Remus - I'm not fussed which.

I think I may have blown the budget though.

You can, it won’t be perfect but should be perfectly serviceable.
