At least they ARE Jaguars - some of the posts so far have been cars that are simply powered by Jag engines, which isn't the same thing IMHO. (Lister-Jaguar, Ronart).

I just love the XJS despite all the negativity that comes with it.

Another one from Hampton Court is this, the 1952 XK120 'Jabbeke'.

Another great one which I don't have a digital photograph of is the 1961 Owen Jaguar Special.

I took this one of Guy Broad's car before it went to Jabbeke. I think he managed to do 182mph on a run.

I assumed the Jabekke runs referred to were in the 1950s. That's a much more recent shot. Was the 182mph run a recent thing?

You missed the HWM and the Coopers too. Sorry to be pedantic about your pedantry. winkbiggrin

I couldn't be bothered to look through the thread to get all the nominations. The XJS tuned by Lister is still a Jaguar, but a Lister-Jaguar sports-racer from the '50s is a chassis built by Brian Lister fitted with a Jaguar engine purchased from the Competition Dept at Browns Lane. It's not a Jaguar.

The Jaguar Special built by Rixon Bucknall is still a Jaguar because it retains the Jaguar chassis (or much of it) as well as the engine, and has simply been rebodied. Ditto the Ghia and Michelotti creations.

I remember reading about the Railton in a magazine article many years ago.

Rich, I hold my hand up and admit that the photo posted was the 1991 E-type tour. But I will adamantly say that these are Jaguars:-

teacher Actually the Espada is a Piranha knock off, with a bit of Marzal design study thrown in.
