A '68 Mustang - not only seen but also driven (a little bit). That's one off the list. Never driven one before of any persausion. I took it to an MoT station on a private industrial estate in the opening rounds of having it registered over here. The best way, I felt, to line it up with the truck for the return leg was to drive all the way round the estate. All perfectly illegal. A light car with very little power, no inclination to kick down, drum brakes all round, no servo, no power steering. But that sound! Doodle-doodle-doodle. Lovely. Little power and no servo but, possibly because of its age, condition and knackered drums, at the T junctions the car was dragging its brakes, trying to go while I was trying to stop it. Disconcerting. Maybe the tick over was too fast.
And the suspension! My dears! So crude.

I'm happy to contribute to this awesome thread:
A lovely example, driven by a lady, no less. Suited the blondie and my wife liked the back end too... though only of the Jag. A bittersweet moment for me. She said that it looks like a lovely car in which to get away on a drive away from the City. I agree.
A well kept 3.2L V6 Vel Satis with a partially wooden steering wheel:

Possibly chassis #3952, assuming the green / beige colour combo is the original With typical Italian making anything sound sexy verve, it's Verde Metallzzato - er, "metallic green".

Thanks, that looks like it. The age related plate suggests 1962. I wonder what else he's got in the collection.
I've just googled the 507 and it appears to be John Surtees' car.
The Bertone Aston I believe is unique. Good spot Dicky CI've just googled the 507 and it appears to be John Surtees' car.

The 507 is the ex John Surtees car.
There was also a La Ferrari from the collection in a separate display.
I cannot remember the rest of the collect, but it was fairly extensive......and expensive
