I think the blue one is a Triumph Toledo (I think all Dolomites had 4 headlamps) but I wait to be corrected!
Agreed, first view I thought 1500 TC/HL ..? Can't recall now, then noticed the lights.
Infamously a car that, in a single body (13/1500, Toledo, Dolomite), offered transverse and longitudinal engines as well as both front and rear wheel drive
Also see Renault 21 for transverse/longitudinal engines

The blue car is a recreation of the Citroen record taker Petite Rosalie.

A proper 'spot' rather than some show or meet photos, nice to see out and about.

The Manta A does it for me, great colour & finish closely followed by the Kadetts.

ah, I meant the one under that, that strange cabrio, any idea?
Looks like a Saab 96 of some flavour or another - I’ve never seen a convertible one of those!

Saab had 6 prototypes built by a coachbuilder in 1967 but couldn't make the business case work to justify tooling up for production so it never went anywhere. There must be loads of back street efforts out there by now

Looked in great condition. Cream and brown , think it said 220. I briefly co-owned a 250ce in maroon many many years ago and would love another
Lovely - I had a 250CE in exactly the same colour scheme right down to the matching hubcaps

Sadly no longer about unless it lies forlorn in a shed somewhere…

Or now has a different registration number.

Which Triumph had a transverse engine, Doofus?

Not in a Toledo / Dolomite shell, which I think was the original point.

I thought the 1300 / 1500 did, but it didn't.

Sorry.

I knew what was meant and don't know why I posted it really.

At the height of his career my dad changed jobs. His Rover 2000 company car was too much for the new company and he was told the budget and told of the firm's preference for Triumph.

The choice boiled down to a Vitesse 2 litre or a 1300TC.

He chose the 1300TC as it was more practical.

A car snob from an early age, I was very disappointed.

ARK606H. It was okay. He commuted from Sandhurst in Berkshire to Ampthill in Bedfordshire daily. Long before the M25. And i think I've done some tough commutes.

Original question was not meant in a smartarse-y kind of way: I genuinely wondered whether I'd missed something over the years. Must admit I'd forgotten about the Acclaim, but it's a Honda really, so there. beer
