There's a DAF33 not far from us, a kind of butter yellow colour. It's an odd looking thing, and tiny compared to even the smallest of more modern cars.
Our next door neighbour when I was a kid had one in that colour. It seemed small compared to dad's Cortina even back then.
Ah a direct neighbor of us at our right at the time, were we lived back then in the sixties, had I believe green DAF not sure if it was a 44 but I think so, and before that also a DAF in another color.

when we looked like this... I'm in the middle hehe and in front of our house which you can not see, but you can see the parking Lot, which was mostly half empty so we could play there.
You can also see some cars, but not in color.. maybe someone can see what cars those are at that moment in time when my Dad took that picture, I can recognize the Opel kadett, and some rears look a bit like from a DAF or maybe a Fiat Neckar? my Dad had such sort also once, but then he had many cars those days, fiats mostly back then.

Behind the Opel I'd say is an NSU Prinz then a Daf 33 and a Beetle don't know the far one.

ah NSU Prinz could be right, we had that one I think at the time, also a Fiat 600 maybe we did not had our own garage back then ready, but that would not have been long after that, or it was ready and my dad used it at that moment to fix up another car with rot which he then repaired with polyester and then painted it hehe

the good old days ;-)

hehe yeah, I don't know why I was dressed up like that that day, I guess thats why my dad made the picture? maybe we went to a family thing a mariage from someone? normally I did not were such shirt... I was always climbing in trees, buildings and or playing Tarzan in those trees at the rear of that field on the left, with some old bicycle tires put together as a rope hehe so you are lucky to see me in such clothing thumbup

Slightly off topic, but can I just remark how much I enjoy GTRené's posts. The continental perspective on old motoring themes is fascinating.

Anyway, moving on, parked next to this monster today, would’ve been a Classics Dwarfing Moderns if I could’ve got close enough… biggrin

I remember driving over in Norfolk around 2005 and seeing a sign in the middle of a field . " Sierra Spares For Sale and some Cortina too ". That's Norfolk for you biglaugh
As a resident of Norfolk, I'd like to correct that infactious slur! It was actually in East Lincolnshire on the A17 near Fosdyke - proper Fen territory that is. It was cleared a numer of years ago, the scrappie must have had a field day. That sign was exactly as you stated.

I'm not sure the wires suit that, but it's nice to see a proper Jensen built one smile

Photographed this yesterday afternoon on the way to the Club, then had a couple of gin and sodas and forgot to post it!
It's not perfect. There's a bit of corrosion bubbling on the rear edge of the wing, but it's generally very tidy indeed. It passed me a couple of nights ago while I was walking the dog and sounded healthy too.

Tbh I've never been a fan. I owned a hilariously knackered Minor postie van as a student and shed not a single tear when it was stolen and torched. But it's nice to see a survivor.
