I wonder looking at that softtop system, does that stay on at speeds say over 200km/h?
also, is such leak proof driven in hard rain at speed? looking at the lip over the window construction instead of more modern say a Z3 car? it looks like wind/speed can get a grip on that.
looks bad also, but hey.
They didn’t look that crap when new. There seems to be something quite wrong with that particular example.also, is such leak proof driven in hard rain at speed? looking at the lip over the window construction instead of more modern say a Z3 car? it looks like wind/speed can get a grip on that.

Even the V8 version would struggle to hit 200km/h.also, is such leak proof driven in hard rain at speed? looking at the lip over the window construction instead of more modern say a Z3 car? it looks like wind/speed can get a grip on that.

Yes there was an S1 E-Type FHC parked for a few weeks where the TR7 is earlier this year.
Yeah the Director Adam Newman is a real petrolhead with a taste for classics . You often get the impression he is just as happy meeting a fellow enthusiast as he is selling you a carDoofus said:

I remember as a kid sitting in the first FHC TR7s in Appleyards showroom in the mid seventies . You have to imagine the wow factor involved in seeing such an exotic shape sat next to a Triumph Toledo in Pensioner Beige . They just seemed to go out of favour so quickly . I remember an older bloke round the corner John McRorie sadly long dead getting rid of an Escort Mexico for one . He must have had it 8 weeks before traumatised he was back with an RS2000 .The Cortina , for 30 years a constant backdrop for the British way of life . We all knew times were good when dad could afford to swap the Cortina for another . We didn't need a Sky subscription , a Raleigh Chopper and a ride on the back of Terrys old Bantam as we raced along the disused railway was all the entertainment I ever wanted

WHS.I still have a soft spot for 'Tina's. Especially estates for some reason.
The clatter of a well worn and neglected Pinto camshaft is part of the soundtrack of my youth.
Followed this on the north-west section of the M25 yesterday, cooler than a polar bear's toenails.

I’ve frequently seen this lovely 1913 Chalmers around the Cheshire / Shropshire borders and tonight it was parked up at our local pub.
I love that. A proper car; no driver aids, no electronic gizmos, no FBW throttle, no power assisted steering, crap brakes, skinny tyres. I bet you drive that by feel; through the seat of your pants, in no way isolated from the driving experience. It ought to be mandatory for everyone to drive something like that at least once in their lives, to appreciate raw driving at it's finest.

It's a Teilhol Tangara, which was based on the 2CV originally, and later on the AXMarkwG said:

I wouldn't be surprised if that was an original TR8. One of about a dozen RHD. Most recreations seem to have non-original wheels. That car looks original and tatty enough to be 'real'.
It seems to be registered as a TR8.A pity BL didn't sell these in the UK in FHC and Convertible trim - you wonder where TVR might be if they built TR8's in reasonable volume. The 2.0 TR7 was alright in a Capri 2000 sort of way but nothing more.
